Essential Oil Safety

Never buy oils from Amazon or Ebay or similar, people sell fake oils and go to great lengths to do so. They must come through a wellness advocate/ independent product consultant and delivered straight from doTERRA.

I am not a medical professional, I share personal experience and resources as many doctors & health professionals are now using doTERRA. If you are on medication, or have any concerns at all, please check with your Doctor, and feel free to email productsupport@doterra.com.

doTERRA Essential oils are safe & easy to use, however, common sense & respect for the power of these oils is always advised. They are not created to solve an issue, this is pure plant oil.

Test things out in small amounts. Everybody is different.  Using them should teach you to listen to your body. They should be enjoyed while taken seriously.

  • Dilute hot oils.
  • Avoid sun 12-24 hours after use of citrus oils on the skin.
  • Use glass, not plastic, when drinking a drop or two in your water or making sprays etc.
  • Do not put oils in ears, eyes, nose and dilute on sensitive areas. Dilute for children.

I have never encountered a problem except people who take warfarin or a blood thinning medication should be very cautious.

If you are taking medication and would like to incorporate essential oils into your lifestyle, please consult with a doctor and/or pharmacist well versed in essential oil use and do plenty of your own research.

Of course some Doctors will not be open but you can even give them a little to try for themselves personally. doTERRA has changed the quality of oils possible with their sourcing, they actually only accept 30% of their harvesting and sell the rest on to other companies.
