Being from a entrepreneurial middle class family in Scotland, visiting Africa for the first time at 37 changed me forever. Money is certainly not what matters to me most in life, but that is easier to say when you are from somewhere there are opportunities.
Living for a month with locals in a place so special as Tanzania, you truly realise how lucky we really are and that opportunities simply just aren't there to be taken for granted, you realise how much of a privilege it really is to live somewhere that anyone can be successful with a lot of hard work and maybe a little luck.
Rose Lawrence is the inspiration for this trust, she has become a true friend and her integrity astounds me. Her dedication to making a difference often comes before her own needs and I am so inspired I want to help her help so many people!
Are you with me? We need your support!
