Ebony started Shine From Inside after working in Los Angeles and Paris behind the scenes in fashion and Photography, having health issues and realising the everything is connected. In order to have a truly successful lifestyle business we must shine from inside. the mind and body.

Ebony's Scottish upbringing involved her in her parent's business from birth but it could never have fully prepared her for how much her life changed dramatically when, day after graduating, she moved to Hollywood to work with her photography idol.
Before she knew it she was borrowing couture fashion and diamonds for photoshoots on Rodeo Drive, onset with A-list celebrities, dressing people for award shows and her clients included Dior, Universal Records and Disney. Known as a renaissance women, Ebony wore many hats as an art director, fashion stylist, post production specialist and later also photographer. |

But, the superficial perfection was not all it seemed. Ebony's own health suffered behind the scenes in Los Angeles, symptoms that were once sporadic for Ebony became harder to hide.
Growing up in Scotland, to living backstage in the extreme worlds of fashion & celebrity photography in Los Angeles & Paris making the creative magic happen, Ebony knows all the tricks of the trade, yet knows from personal experiences, that all that shines on the outside, does not equal happiness.

After 20 years of a multitude of symptoms including nausea, chronic fatigue, severe hormonal imbalance, digestive upset, muscle spasms, body aches, fainting, crashing for days at a time, my symptoms finally were out of control.
No one could figure out what was wrong. Even with my reduced, flexible schedule, things were falling apart. The symptoms went on to cause anxiety and depression. I was finally diagnosed with dysautonomia in 2011 and was taking 15 medications a day, something had to change. I now live with no signs of the condition, possible through a variety of self care changes and use of essential oils.

California introduced Ebony to Eckhart Tolle & co, meditation, yoga, farmers markets and the value of free healthcare! After loosing healthcare in US she made the decision to move back to Europe and hoped that a doctor there had the answers.

Fashion StylingEbony's passion for fashion led her into styling for music videos, live shows, editorials and advertising, Fashion has the ability to change perception. Ebony was known for breaking the rules and creativity.

Post ProductionThe most prestigious and coveted role Ebony was known for was working closely with photographer's, art director's and the talent, as the last person to touch the files before they are printed.

She suddenly got it, if she ever wanted to be medication free, she needed to make some shifts in her mindset, maybe what she was eating and her lifestyle, toxic chemical intake and try plant based solutions and traditional alternatives. It was all still a little too 'woo woo' for her, but she persevered. Lo and behold when she discovered doTERRA it was a complete game changer! |

It was a bold move to Paris, knowing no-one and not speaking the language but made easier being able to still work with clients that were more flexible on deadlines.
It was a gradual decline, with sporadic symptoms getting more frequent and intense over a long period of time.
Health becomes important when you do not have it and the only thing you wish for when you even come close to loosing it. Nothing else matters. It took a shock from an amazing Parisian Doctor to wake Ebony up that the toxic chemicals in our homes, food, environment were real and could be messing up her body.
Paris taught Ebony about real food, balanced lifestyle, and eventually found essential oils.
